Allow an Hour or more to Wander Around

The eight acre gardens are situated on a gentle sunny slope, have fertile well drained soil and are elevated above severe frost areas. An annual rainfall of around  900mm permits a wide range of plants to be grown. Approximately 75 species of birds either frequent the gardens or call it home. Katandra Gardens is a member of the Open Garden Scheme, is open at weekends and during the week. Entry is by donation.  Coach tour visits attract a small cover charge and morning and afternoon teas are available.  The outdoor toilet is suitable for wheelchair access.

The wildlife lake is a delightful feature and home to numerous waterbirds and frogs.  The smaller ponds are home to many goldfish, frogs and tadpoles.
